FAQ

In order to get paired up with a tutor it will be necessary for you to fill out and submit the request for service form which can be found under the student participants tab or on the link below. It is also important that you are a K-6th grade student. 

How do I get a tutor?

This program is volunteer based and the idea is to provide one-on-one tutoring support to students needing additional support. All of the tutoring will happen virtually whether it be through Zoom or Google Hangouts.

To sign-up to volunteer you just need to fill out the volunteer application that can be found under the volunteer tab or click on the link below. If you are having trouble accessing the document you can always feel free to fill out the form under contact us and our volunteer coordinator will reach out to you.

Can I work with the same tutor again?

Yes, the idea is that the student continues working with the same student until the goal or objective is complete. If for some reason there needs to be a change in tutor we would notify the student ahead of time.

Do I have to live in the area to be a volunteer?

The program focuses on supporting students with their academic work. Primarily we work with math, reading and writing.

No, you do not need to live in the area in order to volunteer. This is a remote volunteer opportunity therefore all of the contact and communication will be virtual.
